The kitchen is where an interior budget is won or lost. It carries the most hardware, the most tall units and the most things that go wrong two years later, and it is the one room where cutting the wrong corner is felt every single day.
We measure the site ourselves rather than working off a builder drawing, because the builder drawing is routinely a few inches out and those inches are what turn a clean run of shutters into an awkward filler panel. Every kitchen is quoted from a written bill of quantities — carcass material, shutter finish, hardware brand, edge banding, the lot — so what you approve is what gets built and what gets billed.
Where we push back is on hardware. Shutters are what you see and hinges and channels are what you use, and a kitchen with a beautiful finish on cheap channels feels wrong within a year. If the budget is tight we would rather simplify the layout than quietly downgrade what moves.
We are a broker first, which changes how we finish a job: we still have to face you about the next property. That is the whole reason the studio exists in-house rather than as a referral to someone we never see again.
Typically three to five weeks from approved design to installed kitchen, assuming site is ready and civil work is done. The variable is almost never the factory — it is whether plumbing and electrical points are already where the design needs them.
It depends almost entirely on shutter finish and hardware, which can move the same layout by a factor of two. Rather than quote a misleading per-square-foot number here, we will walk your site, agree the specification, and give you a fixed bill of quantities before anything is ordered.
Yes, though we will tell you honestly it is slower and dustier than working in an empty one. If you are buying and moving anyway, doing the kitchen before you shift is worth the few weeks it costs you.
